SERPONG, 21 August 2008 - The regional police in Serpong, western Java, has succeeded in confiscating 2.400 bottles of liquor from a warehouse in the area. Outside confiscating the bottles as evidence, the police also secured the two owners, only known a G.S. and S.I., of the warehouse.
The head of the regional police, Yuldi Yusman, said that confiscating the goods was an operation to prepare for the holy month of fasting. He explained that this raid was organized after information from the public in the area of Pasar Serpong. After the raid the police searched for another location where liquor is said to be stored. "When we did the raid, the owner was denying everything, but when we found the goods he admitted," Yuldi said.
