JAKARTA, 26 March 2008 - Indonesian prosecutors have called for life sentences for two alleged former Jemaah Islamiah top commanders. Dujana and Zarkasih are both accused of being key players in terrorist attacks across Indonesia. Abu Dujana allegedly had a hand in the 2002 Bali bombings and the 2004 attack on the Australian embassy.

Prosecutors declined to ask for the death penalty in the case against him, but said the alleged former military commander of JI had been part of an evil conspiracy to commit terrorist acts. Zarkasih is alleged to have become JI's leader in 2004. He faces life in prison if found guilty of being a member of a terrorist group.
