JAKARTA, 19 May 2006 - Indonesia's president said after visiting ailing ex-dictator Suharto in the hosptial early Friday that he was in "serious condition." Suharto, who was ousted after 32 years in power in 1998 amid student protests and nationwide riots, had a CT scan Thursday after being operated on to halt intestinal bleeding.
His doctors said the scan revealed two new blockages in the brain. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said after visiting Suharto for about 20 minutes early Friday that he was "in serious condition."
