GORONTALO, 26 July 2003 - Indonesian police said today they found 18 homemade bombs and 10 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, the same explosive material used in last year's Bali bombings. It was the third such discovery in two weeks on Indonesia's Sulawesi island. The chemical, which is also used as fertiliser, was seized yesterday from a rented house in the provincial capital, Gorontalo, said North Sulawesi Police Chief Brigadier General John Lalo.
Jemaah Islamiah, the al-Qaeda linked terror group blamed for the October 12 Bali blasts that killed 202 people - 88 of them Australian - is believed to have stockpiled about four tonnes of the substance. Jakarta recently warned there might be fresh terror attacks in Indonesia
