spacer 9 November 2005 - Indonesian police have confirmed that the Jemaah Islamiyah bomb-making Azahari bin Husin killed himself during a fierce gunbattle yesterday with security forces in Batu, East Java. Azahari, a Malaysian, was the head of JI operations, and the mastermind of both Bali bombings and other suicide attacks in Indonesia.
